Babyvivi is a Ben Dan lor...i din agree to blog abt my bro..i only suggested!!!haha...Finally the first 2 days of CNY are OVER!!!wat to say abt this yr's CNY?For mi,it din turn out to be as boring as i expected...got to know more abt my family as well as getting updates abt wat happened in a yr frm a one day gathering...
Father's side family:My cousin is 9 mths pregnant!She's going to give birth anytime frm now and I'm getting promoted again..haiz...kinda amazing to see how we grow up together n she's a wife now and going to be mother anytime..can see that the whole family is excited abt the arrival of the baby esp my bro cos he used to stay wif my aunt when he was a boy so my cousin is equivalent to a sister to him.anybody wan to go wif mi to visit the baby when he is born?
Mother's side family:As usual,there's so many kids in the hse!!!one more baby to come in 6 mths' time.Yesterday's star is this baby!He's called Stanley and is 7 mths old!
He may seen to be juz another one of the many babies that u haf seen before but he is definitely unusual cos he is SUPER DUPER guai baby!He doesnt cry or make noise,and loves to be carried by anyone!He doesnt fidget when u carried him and is curious wif the surrounding....OMG!so adorable!and very heavy as well!!!babyvivi say that she doesnt mind living wif a gal...For mi,I wun mind adopting a baby from orphanage when i'm old and unwanted...haha...

Oh yah...before i forget...remember my cousin whom u pple saw in Cambodia?I was telling him that we might go back to Cambodia during Dec and i asked if he can host us?N He agreed!!!and he was suggesting to go to various places that we haf missed out in the MPXII trip and we can take ferry frm Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and prob a bus to Viet frm Cambodia.Or we can join this tour which he mentioned that will bring us to Viet,Laos and Cambodia!!!haha...So exciting!!!gonna start planning and tink of a name for our trip!!!yeah!haha...

Is life abt pleasing others?

Have not been blogging for a long long time...but i'm still looking at the entries posted by u guys=)

Well,today is quite a lucky day for mi...managed to get my grp project to upload in time b4 the deadline...phew...sometimes i really wonder if pple are sincere abt the things that they say...i'll really appreciate if more initiatives can be taken when doing a grp project..shan't dwell into it further since the 1st part of the project is done...

really wonder if 3D week is a good thing for mi cos after slacking at home for 2 days consecutive...i dun feel like attending anymore lect so i pon one lect today...=(anyway,it's webcasted and i swear to study during the CNY break!

Toking abt CNY...haiz....slipping into depression cos my aunt called to ask my family to join them for reunion dinner.For the past 10 yrs(if i remembered correctly),my family will eat at home and watch the countdown show on TV...tinking how stupid those pple are to pack themselves in a place and get sweaty...sorry abt this comment cos i juz love to stay at home or shld i say with my loved ones cos it is so cozy...even though my mum tried to reject them politely but it was not successful...i cannot understand how my family has managed to escape this request yr aft yr and only to get caught this yr..and my brother was tellin mi that aft attending this dinner then we are so called having to go for nx yr's,nx nx yr's....

The reason y am I at home most of the time or u always find mi wif certain frends only(like wat Kel always tease abt mi and my Indian frends) is bcos I only wan to be in a place where I dun hafta please pple...home is where I dun need to please anyone(even though I need to please my mum by doing some hsewk) and find myself at ease.Or to hang out wif buddies that doesnt req to tink to much abt saying the correct things and constantly doing things to please them.

well well...babycharmie nv failed to amuse me wif her ADventures...she forgot to mention abt her story at the fruit juice stall in arts canteen.Cant believe that she can tell the auntie at the stall to anyhow mix her fruit juice..even the auntie was stunned.But i'm pretty fine abt it cos it's nothing new mah..
as usual,i'm LATE again when i'm supposed to meet my frends for lunch...but i improved!haf a good start for today cos i GOT my daily dosage of milo!!!there's milo van at the forum!woo hoo!!!Lect is still boring as usual...the lecturer was singing a lullaby to us...=)
then i went to meet babycharmie n amanda to go ikea...yeah,bought a few stuff...love the photo frame that looks like an enlarged negative...so nice...gotta buy a hook to get it up the wall...i wan to buy the similar frame that is for the passport size photos!!!i wan to buy 2 of that cos one is for putting my family members' photos and the other one can prob put the photos of the Cambodia kids that i got in my hp...but rite now,i gotta find nice 4R photos to put in this frame..waiting for the yyt to give us the cd and dvd.
had a great dinner n met a long lost frend on the way home...juz had a premonition before dinner that i'll meet someone but din expect to see him...anyway,got no sch for the nx 2 days..gotta do some CNY shopping and tanning..=)

my grandad collects birds as pets..and he has a gd frend named Michael who like him, is a "bird freak"..anywaz,M came to my hse a couple of times, i remembered him as a loud n cheerful fellow..He came to our hse recently, bout one week ago..nv did i know that thats the last i wld eva saw of him..The cause of death was a heart attack..

Few daes after his death, my ma told me a bird had somehow flown into my grandad's prized bird cage right outside my hse..My granda woke upto see two birds in the cage..he was like"how the hell did it get in??"

thats not all..one dae ltr, a huge black bird with a white breast flew into our corridor n perched on our flower pot..It stayed there for a while n my family said its michael who flew back to visit us..at first i laughed it off..but then..cld it be true?? did the dead M came back as a bird instead of a butterfly to bid my grandad farewell for the last time??? the supernatural..dunno to believe or dismiss as hogwash.

Yeah!Finally gotten all my modules!!!!!!

Wat a STUPID system...bid and bid and bid...
nothing much happen on the first day of sch...just that as usual i'm late but not for lessons..supposed to meet my frends for lunch at 11am and go for lessons at 12 but i was 45 mins late..it was quite sweet of them to wait for me but lucky they decided to eat w/o mi cos after all the running...i din need the hunger to eat or prehaps i'm too used to waking up late so it wasnt a time for mi to have lunch...=) (so u understand y i'm sleepy giraffe..hee,i thot after 20 days in Cambodia can train me to wake up early but apparently it doesnt,sad)
after the lect,i decided to skip the nx lect,philo cos i was quite sure that i'm going to drop that mod no matter wat...so i was trying hard to bid for geo!!!managed to get it in the end..babyvivi got it too!!!dunno whether it is a good news though...one funny thing did happened during the bidding...babyvivi gave mi her user n password to help her bid for the mod and i was typing the stuff then i realized that wat i need was her matric no and pin...and her password could describe wat i felt at that point in time...haha...secret
i have finally cleared my rm!!!!managed to dig out some stuff to throw away!!!din really do much except to arrange some stuff...needed to clear my table cos it was super messy n i needed space to put NEW notes...how exciting?!found a pile of letters that my frends n i used to exchange in sec sch...pretty interesting...i'll nv throw them away cos it seems like a part of mi is in there...n found lots of neoprints...oh god,i looked super diff frm now...i guessed it's juz the process of growing up...haha...wonderful memories!
Looking forward to bring babycharmie out...she wants to take the card neoprint!!!woo hoo!!Yah,and she is the one who forced mi to blog...=)

This statement is definitely true....If anyone looking at this picture now thinks that this sweet-looking gal is feminine and would prob want to associate all the positive terms to describe her...perhaps you would want to think twice...

Let me tell you what kind of a person she is in real life...
1) She's blur,extremely blur!!!forever at the wrong frequency and asking you things when you have said a thousand times!!!For eg,she gives you sugar when you want salt and she'll ask you the synopsis of a movie after you have said what the movie is about.
2)She is dirty!!!living with thousand of ants at home...if u ever pass by her house,dun walk into the kitchen or else you'll get the SHOCK of your life!!!seeing ants everywhere!!!
3)She is a shopaholic,went to all the branches of GUESS in Singapore...if you go shopping with her,pls dun believe if she tells you to wait outside a shop bcos she'll be out in a min cos she'll take more than half an hr to get out of that shop...and you need to follow her closely bcos she'll pop into a shop as and when she feels like it and you wun be able to find her OR contact her thru her pathetic Nokia 8250.Trust me!=)
Despite of all these short comings,I still LOVE her alot cos she's my baby!Cant explain why but I just love the way she is!HAPPY TORTOISE FAMILY!

ramblings!

it's been a while since the blog has set up. but poor old papa, being computer illiterate and busy at 'work', could only post some little thoughts to his dearest family now. ;)

anyway, it's really great that we have our own personal blog now! haha. the cooking session today was indeeed fun. erps. except the movie though. a tad too slow moving for me.... eh baby char... u need to do something abt ur hse leh.

2. clean up!!! not the food. but the hse...
3. stock up!!!

haha. jk. but it was nice to meet up again and to cook. brings back fond memories of the time when we were in cambodia... though we never had the opportunity to cook together. hm. we'll forever improve our skills... and perhaps one day we'll have this grand chef cooking session. now... we're only amateurs... :)

A day to Remember...

Hey Tortoises,
We have a place of our own ONLINE!!!I was suggesting to Vivian today that we shld set up a blog for our family and she REALLY did it!Hooray!It's amazing how our paths have crossed and we got to know each other.
Remember our first meeting on 2nd Sep?The meeting was held past the dinner time and Amanda gave us lemon biscuits which had some weird taste and Charmaine looked at Vivian and me with a you-know-what look.That was how I managed to remember who is Charmaine cos she was forever giggling on the sofa that day.What abt Yilin?It was during the soccer fiesta!!!Both of us were late and we started talking to each other!!!It was great to be able to find someone to talk to when everyone ard me looked so unfamiliar..=)
During the hotdog sales,I gotta work with a blur queen by the name of Charmaine and she really set me laughing when she asked if Rotarian Tay's name is really called Rotarian!!!*faints*
And Viv n I started to teach pple how to play BINGO!Apparently,Yilin is very fascinated with this game and come down everyday to help out so that we can play BINGO with her.haha
Not to forget the banner painting!!!It was super fun!!!Dunno why is it always the few of us coming to help out when the guys ended their papers ALREADY!!!irritating!!!Gals rox!Managed to get a few of my Indian buddies to come down and help out.Glad that the banner turned out to be fine and nice!phew!still can remember how Amanda,Char,Viv and I were scrubbing the floor with thinner late at night!tiring but fun!
